Privacy Policy
Who this covers
This policy covers the Paracosm Studio desktop app (“the app”) and this website. The app is a private tool. Only the owner of Paracosm Studio uses it, to manage the studio's own YouTube channels. It is not offered to the public.
YouTube API Services and Google
The app uses YouTube API Services. Data processed by Google is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. Use of the app is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service.
What information the app accesses
With the owner's permission (Google sign-in), the app accesses data about the studio's own YouTube channels only:
- channel and video details, such as titles, descriptions, thumbnails, captions, playlists and publishing status;
- YouTube Analytics and YouTube Reporting data for those channels, such as views, watch time, audience retention, impressions, click-through rate, subscribers and estimated revenue.
This data is aggregated by YouTube and does not identify individual viewers. The app does not access other people's accounts, private data or comments.
How the information is used, stored and shared
- It is used only to publish the studio's videos and to measure and improve them. For example, the app learns which topics, titles and video lengths keep viewers watching.
- It is stored on the owner's own computer, in the app's database and its local backups.
- It is not sold, rented or shared for advertising.
- Short, aggregated lessons drawn from the analytics, such as “long introductions lose viewers”, may be included in instructions sent to the AI services the studio uses to write and produce videos (Anthropic, Google and ElevenLabs). These lessons contain no personal data.
- Videos and their titles and descriptions are sent to YouTube for publishing. Short clips may also be sent to the studio's publishing partner for TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. No YouTube API data is sent there.
Advertising, cookies and third parties
The app shows no advertising and does not let third parties serve content in it. It does not place cookies or similar technology on anyone's device. Google's own sign-in pages may use cookies under Google's policies. This website uses no cookies or analytics. It is hosted by GitHub Pages, which may log technical data such as IP addresses under the GitHub Privacy Statement.
Revoking access and deleting data
Access can be revoked at any time on the Google security settings page: security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. The app's own way to delete stored data is to remove its data folder. After access is revoked, data obtained through YouTube API Services is deleted within 7 days.
